Folk Redlands is hosting a two-hour open mic session featuring local musicians from 1pm to 4pm on September 17 at the Victoria Point Bowls and Recreation Club, 3 Poinciana Avenue.
There will be an eclectic mix of musical genres including folk, country, singer-songwriter originals, blues and Australian bush.
Featured artist Wolf’s Tales will perform from 3pm.
Wolf’s Tales is a contemporary folk/rock band with songs springing from story-telling songwriter Frank (Wolf) Frikker. Songs are a mix of storytelling, ballads, humor, poetry and satire performed in a blend of folk, folk-rock, blues, jazz, country and world music elements.
Frank had recorded and leased four albums before he moved to Brighton. He formed a band in 2019.
Wolf’s Tales just released its first band album Keep The Night Away. Admission is $3 for members and $5 non-members.
