The show Frankie’s Guys is not just about four guys standing and singing.
So says Australian producer and SK Entertainment producer Sam Klingner who is bringing Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons to RPAC on August 17 as part of its premiere Australian tour.
The West End based show has been touring England for about 10 years and is winner of London’s Best Tribute and the world’s number one celebration of The Four Seasons.
“The boys recreate the iconic sounds of The Four Seasons, and also pay homage to the embellishments and do full choreography to every song,” Sam said.
“This is the moment. Someone who thinks he is not familiar with the catalogue will realise they know the songs – all the songs. “
Sam said the boys were playing 25 shows over a five-week tour covering 24 cities.
“It’s safe to say the show will come back. The reception at the Redlands has been particularly strong,” he said.
“I love a community that loves staying local and supporting its local venue.”
Sam said this enthusiasm was also in evidence at other productions SK Entertainment had brought to the Redlands, including Menopause the Musical, The Tap Pack and Naked Magicians.
“The show at RPAC is in the final week of the tour and the boys will be squeezing out everything they have,” Sam said.
Sam said every show was an ultimate celebration.
“The Four Seasons was the biggest group around in the 60s. There were so many chart-topping hits. This is a celebration of that – a tribute to that,” he said.
Paying a charismatic tribute to Frankie Valli, his life, his music and his legacy, this award-winning production offers more than 20 timeless classics.
Accompanied by a live band, this show features all the iconic Four Seasons hits including Big Girls Don’t Cry, Oh What A Night, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and Grease.
Tickets are $79.90 and can be booked on 3829 8131.
