The Redlands Coast Jobs Board, created by the Redlands Regional Jobs Committee, provides small
businesses and jobseekers with the opportunity to find a great local employment outcome.
Suzie Tafolo, President of the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce, who leads the Redlands Regional
Jobs Committee shared “The goal is to connect local people with local roles, helping businesses and
their new recruits to thrive.”
Amy Moss, General Manager at Ruby & Ollies, provider of all-abilities outside school hours care,
found out about the Redlands Coast Jobs Board through advertising within the community.
“We hired a couple of recruits who came on board really qualified, and really keen to work. We’ve
just recently onboarded two lovely ladies as part of our recruitment for educator roles,” says Amy.
“As an employer, I find it extremely streamlined and easy to use. It’s a free platform, so it’s beneficial
Samantha Beckman, co-founder of 2 Bent Rods, has also had great success with the platform. The
business offers fishing lessons and fishing experiences, in an endeavour to share their dedication to
sustainable fishing, so it’s important to find staff who share this passion.
“We advertised for an admin role and had a lot of success. We hired Cass, and she’s been an absolute
godsend. We also found a fishing instructor on the Redlands Coast Jobs Board, who’s been with us
for several months now and is a good fit as well,” says Sam. “I think it’s a great initiative, enabling us
to find and employ local talent. With fishing, it helps that they know the area and all the good fishing
spots. It also helps support our local economy.”
Cassandra Howard was hired in the admin role advertised by 2 Bent Rods. She has now been with the
business for 18 months.
“I was working with an employment agent, and the Redlands Coast Jobs Board was one of the first
places they told me to start looking,” says Cass. “I was motivated to apply for this opportunity
because I liked the idea of working for a smaller, local business, so it was a really good fit.”
