Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) brings guitar virtuoso Petra Poláčková to the stage in an intimate performance on August 25.
Poláčková’s awe-inspiring musicianship is a testament to her dedication to the craft.
She began her studies at the age of six and has evolved into a true “musician’s musician” with a wealth of performance experience.
Having trained with renowned guitarists and musicians such as Petr Saidl, Zdenek Dvorak and Paolo Pegoraro, Poláčková’s musicianship and virtuosity have earned her numerous first-place prizes and invitations to lead masterclasses at prestigious guitar festivals around the globe.
Poláčková will journey through the Romantic era with reinterpretations of works by Johann Kaspar Mertz, Franz Schubert, Luis de Narváez, Francesco da Milano and John Dowland.
Poláčková will perform these stunning pieces on a nine-string romantic guitar made by Jan Tuláček.
