McGuires’ Hotels Group and Small Steps for Hannah have teamed up for a Putt for a Purpose, to be staged at the Alexandra Hills Hotel Putt Putt course from 8am to 2pm on September 17.
McGuires’ Hotels business development manager Deborah Ellyett said the exclusive ticketed event aimed to bring families in the Redlands Coast community together while raising funds and awareness for Australia’s growing domestic violence epidemic.
All Putt Putt ticketing proceeds will be donated to Small Steps for Hannah.
The day will be packed with children’s entertainment including face painting, kid’s mosh dancing, fairies, games, a barbecue, magic show, hypnotist and live music.
There will also be random prizes for the best dressed. Many local businesses have donated prizes to be drawn at the noon raffle.
“It all starts with the little people,” Ms Ellyett said.
“What can we do as a community to ensure kids grow up to not be victims of DV?
“More importantly, what can we do to ensure kids grow up to be perpetrators of family violence?
“The message needs to be louder, clearer and the conversation needs to come earlier.
“When you tell your kids you’re taking them to Putt for a Purpose, tell them why, share the legacy of Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey.”
Members of Small Steps for Hannah will be onsite selling merchandise and speaking to the community.
Introductory and complimentary instruction surrounding personal family law and domestic violence matters will also be available from the team at Ellyett Law onsite.
Tickets are $18 adults, $13 children and $50 for a family of two adults and two children. Book on sevenrooms.com.
