The Redland Museum is seeking past Strawberry queens and princesses to take a trip down memory lane at a high tea from 2pm to 4pm on August 20 to mark the festival’s 65th anniversary.
The event will be a precursor to this year’s festival and is being held in conjunction with Redfest and the Redland City libraries.
It also commemorates the return of the festival on September 2 and 3 after a three-year hiatus.
Local history advisor Georgia Bennett said the library would hang some large on images on the walls at Cleveland as a tie in to the event.
Entertainment for the high tea is with Wellington Point soprano Rosemarie Arthars accompanied by Leanne Swanson on piano.
On display will be Strawberry Queen memorabilia and short video loops of past parades. A full exhibition will be staged at the museum in September.
Tickets to the high tea are $40 and includes limitless tea and coffee, sandwiches, petit fours and scones, jam and cream. Book on 3286 3494 or at redlandmuseum.org.au
Former queens are invited to get in touch with Tara Young at the museum on 3286 3494.
